Highlights from the first half of the 2018 Sitka International Cello Seminar

Over the last 10 days, the Sitka International Cello Seminar participants have been actively engaging with the Sitka community in a variety of ways. They have performed at the Pioneer Home, the Sitka Public Library, the Mean Queen, the Chamber of Commerce, Ludvig’s Wine Bar, Sheldon Jackson Childcare, and SEARHC for a range of ages from only a few months to over 90 years old. They have also been intently studying with Dr. Melissa Kraut and Zuill Bailey, and attending daily seminars to improve their musicianship and advance their career goals and life planning. Check out these highlights from our first week!
