Mark your calendars for the 2017-18 Autumn and Winter Classics in Anchorage, sponsored by Alaska Airlines!
September 8-10: On Friday night, pianist Navah Perlman presents “A Musical Memoir” – a reflection on her childhood as daughter of violinist Itzhak Perlman and her journey through life and music with storytelling, media, and piano solos. Saturday evening features mixed chamber music with Zuill Bailey and friends (Bach Sinfonias for String Trio and Arensky String Quartet), followed by stunning solo piano works by Festival favorite Natasha Paremski. The Sunday afternoon concert features rising star Nikita Borisevich in a phenomenal Paganini showcase, plus Mozart Piano Quartet in G Minor and Brahms Piano Quartet in C Minor.
September 15-17: The featured artists for Friday and Saturday are the Matt Herskowitz Trio in a magnificent blend of classical virtuosity with brilliant jazz improvisation. Their programs include a number of pieces by Chopin, Herskowitz’s own compositions, and the Claude Bolling Suite for Cello and Jazz Piano Trio with Zuill Bailey. Sunday’s concert is a Grammy celebration event, where Zuill will perform the piece that earned him a Grammy this year, plus pieces by Bruch and Bloch.

All concerts will be held in the UAA Fine Arts Building Recital Hall.
